Mind Art Warrington is a Community Interest Group formed in 2011 by the late

Dermot McCallister and was based at Hollins Park Hospital until his passing in 2016.

In 2017 after a year hiatus the cafe became established at the Pyramid Arts Centre thanks to the efforts of Garry Billington and a number of volunteers.

After relocating the cafe to The Old School in 2018 Mindart received a grant of £21,321 from the People's Health Trust North West to enable the group to take part in weekly creative activities with professional artists and creatives.

The funding has meant Mindart can provide a platform for creative development and personal exploration. People are able to develop friendships and gain new skills and experiences with lie-minded individuals.

In the first year of funding Mindart have curated an art exhibition to showcase their work as well as programmed a season of film screenings.
